Expired batteries and batteries must be sent to the appropriate containers installed at the urban collection centers (marked by the red arrow in the image below).

The collected materials will be sent to specialized silver and mercury recovery centers, while the rest will be disposed of in special landfills for hazardous waste.

Given the hazardous nature of this waste, it is essential that the exhausted batteries are sent to the disposal plants where they are properly treated and not dispersed in the environment.
